Both gas and wood-fired ovens offer unique benefits, and the best choice depends on your preferences.

Ooni gas-fired ovens heat up quickly, are easy to use, and offer reliable heat with precise temperature control, making them great for consistent results with minimal effort.

Ooni wood-fired ovens require a more hands-on approach to managing temperature, which many enjoy because of the artisanal craft and fun of stoking that traditional live fire experience. While the flavor difference is minimal due to the short cooking time, the process can feel more authentic.

If you want convenience and control, choose gas. For a more authentic wood-fired experience, opt for multi-fuel. If you want the flexibility to do both, choose multi-fuel and be sure to purchase the additional gas burner attachment.

Ooni gas-powered pizza ovens are designed to run on propane. 

In some regions, they may also be compatible with butane - please check our FAQ site for more information on country-specific requirements.

In the U.S., certain models can be used with natural gas. Please refer to this article for full details on compatibility and setup.

No, Ooni gas ovens are designed for outdoor use only. 

If you’re looking for an oven you can use indoors, you may want to consider our electric model, Ooni Volt 12.

All our gas ovens feature an easy-to-use control ignition dial. Just press and hold the dial, then slowly turn it counterclockwise to release and ignite the gas.
